DMSQ is a professional saxophone quartet based in Toronto, Canada. Henry Gluch (soprano saxophone), Michele Jacot (alto saxophone), Peter Voisey (tenor saxophone) and Pam Fong (baritone saxophone) founded the group in 2004 to perform music written or arranged for the saxophone quartet. The group has performed in varied settings ranging from a traditional concert stage, to a collaborative photography/music exhibit/performance, to downtown Toronto club gigs. The group is a synthesis of the talents of its members, trained woodwind players with extensive experience performing with different groups in various settings.
DMSQ, or Dimanche Matin Saxophone Quartet, is named after a Sunday morning ritual that includes French impressionist music, coffee, Baileys and, of course, saxophones. (Photo of DMSQ by Melissa Clarke)
